WTF! Snakes on a...

So its January 26th and the month is just flying by.  Last night Patrick and I booked our Family's Spring Break trip.  After much searching and trying to book something during the annual spring migration of the lower class poor- who don't think they are poor.  There are near to no campsites available. Even the primitive ones.  Our family vacations are all about sleeping in a tent and eating hot dogs and s'mores, hiking and fishing. Yes, its fun.  But more importantly it gets us into the Great Outdoors for CHEAP! We finally found a campsite that meets our most basic requirements: Its available.  Its in a Texas State Park. Its Cheap.
We are headed to Cooper Lake State Park- Doctors Creek.

Here is this Momma's concerns:

1. SNAKES (yes its in all caps for a reason)  I hate Snakes!  My boys are true boys, dirty, noisy and will touch anything that looks cool.  They have only witnessed snakes in those great glass boxes at the pet store or behind a very thick acrylic and stone walls at the zoo.  They get close, I mean really close- nose to nose with them there.  How is this Mom going to feel like they are prepared for when a cooper head is stalking them on the hiking trails!  Ahhhh.  I am already having a panic attack.

3. Hot.... Cold...  Wet...  Fire restrictions.  Who knows!  Its Texas people.  There is no telling what is going to happen in March!  We could have floods. (then its wont rain for another 6 months)

For the record "SNAKES!" Deserve 3 worry bullet points!  Have you met my kids?! 

 I feel like I am just repeating the same worst movie quote ever... You know the one...  Samuel L Jackson- worst movie ever.  O' you know! 

So other than the over protective mom worries  I am looking forward to knocking another State Park off our list!  Who knows we may take a day trip to another State Park between now and then, if Patrick and I can get our schedules NSYNC this semester. (I couldn't resist)
